If you represent a brand owner and sell online via a partner’s e-commerce site, you might want to consider running Facebook collaborative ads (a.k.a. CPAS).
While you can read more on how to set up CPAS and its benefits, the objective of running CPAS is to enable you to drive traffic to your online store at the partner’s site and track sales performance. Without CPAS, you wouldn’t be able to know the campaign conversion data.
Another reason for running collaborative ads is that brand owners might have an agreement in place with the retail partners, which required a certain Facebook ad budget commitment to drive traffic and sales to the e-commerce platforms.
Otherwise, it might make much more sense to drive traffic and sales to your own brand store, provided you have it set up already.
Nevertheless, Facebook has listed the retail partners in this directory for brands to collaborate on CPAS. Brand owners need to request collaboration first as there is a minimum ad spend commitment required by some e-commerce platforms.
We have compiled the list of retail partners in Malaysia, which includes e-marketplaces like Shopee and Lazada, food delivery platforms like Foodpanda and the new boy airasia (wondering why the super-app Grab is missing from the list at the time of writing), online pharmacies, and other e-commerce sites too.
airasia
Triggered (or accelerated) by the pandemic, airasia has pivoted from an airline company and aspires to become the super app in Asean. Besides travel deals, you can also shop for food, grocery, and beauty products now on airasia.

Foodpanda
Besides the new player airasia, Foodpanda is the only prominent food delivery platform that is listed here. Where is Grab by the way? If you are a food brand, it makes sense to collaborate with Foodpanda to run CPAS ads.

Guardian
Besides Watsons, Guardian is the other pharmacy that facilitates Facebook collaborative ads with brand partners. Where is Caring Pharmacy by the way?

Lazada
Lazada used to be the number 1 online shopping site in Malaysia but its position is being challenged by Shopee in recent years. Nevertheless, this should be one of the popular e-commerce platforms for many brands to collaborate on CPAS together with Shopee.

Senheng
Don’t ask me why they don’t even bother to upload a logo, put up a proper banner, and insert a valid URL above. Anyway, Senheng is the largest electrical appliances store in Malaysia, with a huge traffic volume to its online store so it makes sense to collaborate if you represent an electrical appliances brand.

Sephora
Sephora is the only beauty-focused online store featured in the listing, other local beauty sites are not available for CPAS yet at the time of writing. Health and beauty brands can consider Sephora too without being limited to pharmacies.

Shopee
Without a doubt, Shopee is the leading e-commerce site in Malaysia for all kinds of products, followed by Lazada. Therefore, this is the most popular retail partner to collaborate on CPAS regardless of what you are selling.

Tesco
While other grocers like AEON, Jaya Grocers are nowhere to be seen yet, Tesco (or known as Lotus’s now) is the only online grocer listed in Malaysia’s CPAS partners list. This makes sense too as Tesco used to be the most aggressive online grocer here.

Watsons
Watsons is probably the brick-and-mortar retailer here with the highest traffic to its online store. Besides Guardian, health and beauty brands can also explore working with Watsons on collaborative ads.

Zalora
Being a veteran now as one of the earliest online shopping ventures to launch during the e-commerce boom, Zalora is the only fashion site listed in the local directory so fashion brands take note.

The Rest
Besides the 10 famous sites mentioned above, there are also 8 more partners listed in the CPAS directory that covers Malaysia at the time of writing.
While there are specialty and niche sites like Foot Locker, Master of Malt, we are not sure why brand owners like Carlo Rino, Pandora, Crowz (never heard of this before), and service providers are listed in the directory.
Anyway, you might want to check the latest listings from the Facebook CPAS retail partner directory here, just filter the country by Malaysia. Happy selling online!
