Watsons Malaysia launched a digital film to commemorate with the Hari Raya celebration this year. Amidst the ongoing challenges and uncertainties, the Raya video starring a star-studded cast entitled ‘Jauh Di Mata, Tetap Beraya’ is a reminder to all Malaysians that the bond between loved ones is stronger than the restriction imposed during these trying times.
Watsons had creatively launched its ‘Jauh Di Mata, Tetap Beraya’ in a e-Launch at Watsons Facebook page on 9th May 2020 and the main film has garnered 1 million views, check out Watsons YouTube channel to watch Watsons’ ‘Jauh Di Mata, Tetap Beraya’ video.
The short film describes how a family, especially the youngest child, copes with the current situation that every Malaysians are facing with this Raya – with so many uncertainties.
“Watsons produces this short film to remind everyone that despite all the challenges including staying a distance with your loved ones, Hari Raya can still be celebrated sincerely and wholeheartedly. Producing this short film was not as easy as it was due to the restrictions and limitations but the outcome is what we were all anticipating of which is to send this message to everyone that all Malaysians can still celebrate Aidilfitri together no matter what happened” said Caryn Loh, Managing Director, Watsons Malaysia.
The casts of the short film include Watsons Malaysia ambassadors Ayda Jebat and Jinnyboy, also prominent celebrities and friends including Dato’ Jalaluddin Hassan, Sean Lee, Nazrudin Rahman, Alyssa Dezek, Amber Chia, Yaya Zahir, Fiqrie and Nithya.

Watsons Malaysia has always taken pride in their star-studded and over-the-top Raya films in the previous years, but this year’s campaign came with an unexpected challenge and with the great collabration between Naga DDB Tribal and Watsons Malaysia, and have managed to bring Jauh di Mata, Tetap Beraya to life with remote shooting execution, work-from-home style.
